A stopover in Sète, l’île singulière, is the pleasure of discovering a town steeped in history, authentic and lively all year round.
You’ll enjoy strolling through the streets of the town center, strolling along the Lido beach and, for the more sporty, climbing Mont-Saint Clair to the panoramic view of the white stones.
Sète, with its history, is also a land of gastronomy, of different origins, different flavors… often from the sea.
There’s nothing more typical than discovering the various markets and market halls in the city center, tasting shellfish and fresh fish or discovering the various culinary specialties in the city’s many restaurants.
Stroll along the 16 km of Sétoise beach
Guided tours on different themes are offered throughout the year.
From visits to typical neighborhoods and historic buildings, to the trawler museum, following in the footsteps of Georges Brassens, or simply outings in nature, enjoy a variety of tours for young and old alike.

Sète is a city rich in culture, shows and entertainment. In 2022, it was one of the last candidates selected for the ‘French Capital of Culture’ label. Indeed, the town has every reason to be the winner of the new label created by the French Ministry of Culture.
The singular island boasts an impressive array of summer festivals (Fiest’A Sète, Demi Festival, Quand je pense à Fernande, Worldwide, Jazz à Sète, Voix Vives, Dub Lights, Sous les rochers la plage, Cap au large, etc.). The Théâtre de la Mer, an open-air stage overlooking the sea unique in France, hosts the most varied musical program in France.
