Operating the rail platform
The commissioning of the rail hub will allow us to continue developing the development of intermodal transport in the Port of Sète. Port Sud de France has invested 3.7 M€ including 2.275 M€ subsidy from FEDER/DSIL and 4.7 M€ from the Occitanie Region.
The COT with the new operator VIIA was signed during summer of 2022, and work on the new horizontal horizontal handling system and the buildings will be delivered in summer 2023 at a cost of 7 M€, enabling meet the French government’s requirements for the development of rail freeways Sète-Calais.
