Plan d'eau du Môle Saint Louis
At the end of 2019, the marina won the European ‘PSAMIDES’ project. The aim of this project is to support the sustainable growth and economic development of marinas. The aim is to implement innovative solutions, particularly in the fields of tourism flow management, sustainable management of resources and facilities, and a service offering tailored to the new needs of blue growth professionals and port users.
The Sète Marina has chosen to integrate an innovative digital solution enabling, among other things, real-time monitoring of berth occupancy and vessel electricity consumption.
A device called ‘Vigie’ is also available for owners to secure their cabin.
The Port of Sète-Sud de France has drawn up a strategic project for 2021-2025 around a strong focus on sustainable development, with priority given to developing innovative and energy transition projects. The Marina is completing a period of development, renovation and implementation of new services for pleasure boaters, and is now planning to develop new connected services.
The Port de Plaisance de Sète has chosen to integrate Falco’s innovative digital solution, which uses IOT (Internet Of Things) technology developed by French research institute INRIA. Thanks to the installation of intelligent, connected sensors, combined with a user application, this solution enables the port to offer new services to pleasure boaters, and improve environmental management and safety on the water. Deployment of the network and sensors was completed in November 2022. By equipping its entire main basin (470 berths) with this technology, the Sète marina becomes the 1st connected marina in Europe. The Falco application gives yachtsmen the peace of mind of a permanent link with their ship and harbor master’s office.
Sète marina chooses its connected tool to build the port of tomorrow
Given the strategic importance of our project, we naturally decided to work with Wattson Elements (Falco’s solution), a dynamic start-up that relies on innovative and reliable technology”, explains Fabien Luais, Director of the Sète Marina. This connected tool will be the cornerstone of our port of the future, enabling us to improve our quality of service and develop new services to meet our customers’ expectations.
